Today we learned about "Patent Prints." Patent prints are shoe prints. They help the CSI agents discover teh culprit and find where and which way they were going. We did lots of footprint investigating and comparing. We looked at people's shoe prints and filled out a graph about their lengths, brands, and characteristics after we matched each shoe to its print. From, Ashlynn, Aida, and Kaitlyn P.S. Please comment about what YOU know about PATENT PRINTS! Thanks! Today we learned about lip prints and how they can help police find the criminal. If the criminals were drinking something at the crime scene, the police can take the lip print off of the cup by putting powder on it with a brush and lifting it off with tape. The police can take the suspects lip prints to compare them. Maddie, Eric, and Zuhair Today we learned about truth and deceoption and how CSI agents use body language to tell if the suspects are lying or telling the truth. If a criminal won't show his hands or he looks to his left, he is showing that he is lying. When someone is telling the truth, they usually have a straight face and can make eye contact with you.
