I grew up in a small Texas town with my parents and brother. My father was a teacher and both of my parents contributed to my passion for helping children. After graduation from high school, I moved to Waco to attend Baylor University (SIC 'EM Bears!!!). While at Baylor, I majored in elementary and gifted education. I was then hired at Rice Elementary in Tyler ISD, where I taught grades two through four GT cluster groups over the next eight years. During that time, I continued my education by earning my ESL certification and graduating with my master's degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at Tyler. In addition, I married my husband, and we have two beautiful girls and two blond boys! I came to Whitehouse in the fall of 2013, and I am blessed to be here teaching your children! I look forward to partnering with you and your child's regular education teachers to make elementary school a fun and engaging place to learn!
