We learned about C.S.I agents and how they work and train. The best part about the C.S.I unit was
the lip and bite impressions and how we used them to find the suspect. The hardest part was probably the handwriting lab sheet because it was hard to find the person who wrote the letter. I am really looking forward to solving a crime scene whenever someone needs it! Max Clemons We have been learning about C.S.I. My favorite thing we have done so far was the Chromatography lab. My least favorite thing we did was the Bite Impresstion Lab. The hardest thing for me was the Truth or Deception Lab. Figuring out if they were telling the truth or not was hard, but after Mrs. Sanchez told us how you can figure out if they were telling teh truth or lieing, it helped me afterwards. I would have to mention, I got three right out of five. So I did do good myself. :) Here are my questions... Who invented the C.S.I. and why did they create the C.S.I.? What do the courts have to do with the C.S.I. and why do they come to court to explain their evidence?
From, Ashlynn Tapley Today we learned about "Patent Prints." Patent prints are shoe prints. They help the CSI agents discover teh culprit and find where and which way they were going. We did lots of footprint investigating and comparing. We looked at people's shoe prints and filled out a graph about their lengths, brands, and characteristics after we matched each shoe to its print. From, Ashlynn, Aida, and Kaitlyn P.S. Please comment about what YOU know about PATENT PRINTS! Thanks! Today we learned about lip prints and how they can help police find the criminal. If the criminals were drinking something at the crime scene, the police can take the lip print off of the cup by putting powder on it with a brush and lifting it off with tape. The police can take the suspects lip prints to compare them. Maddie, Eric, and Zuhair Today we learned about truth and deceoption and how CSI agents use body language to tell if the suspects are lying or telling the truth. If a criminal won't show his hands or he looks to his left, he is showing that he is lying. When someone is telling the truth, they usually have a straight face and can make eye contact with you.
