Today we learned about bite impressions. C.S.I agents can tell if a criminal bit somebody while they attacked them. They can also compare and identify who the teeth marks belong to by looking at bite impressions or dental records.
We took our bite impressions by getting a foam cup and cutting it in half. Then you press it on your teeth with your fingers. You can do this at home with your parents' premission. Max, Maddie, and Ben

Today we did a little more on our C.S.I. training. We learned h0w to do chromatography (how to separate mixtures we did ink). It was delightful. We learned that it helps C.S.I agents find the criminal because, they can take pens or writing tools from a suspect's house and use chromatography to separate ink and see if it matches a letter. Thanks for reading this entry, it means a lot to us! Please leave a comment. By: Kaitlyn, Aida, & Caden Today we learned that charomatography helps C.S.I agents figure out what pen was used to write a letter. For an example, if the suspect wrote a letter and left it at the crime scene, the detectives could compare the pens of different suspects to catch the suspect.
Signed, Ashlynn, Zuhair, and Eric. P.S. What do you know about CHROMATOGRAPHY? Finger printing is important because everyone has different finger prints. Not even twins have identifcal fingerprints. Fingerprints help the CSI team solve crimes and narrow it down to one suspect. Today we learned how to to print our own fingerprints and figure out if it's a plain whorl, double loop whorl, accidental whorl, central pocket whorl, ulner loop, radial loop, tented arch, or plain arch. You can use a manifying glass to help you. - Maddie, Ashlynn, and Aida Today in GT we also looked up the meaning of words like larceny, evidence, alibi, and artifact. Understsanding these words will help C.S.I agents in the long run and help them while they are training because it will help them be prepared while they work.
Max, Ben, Eric C.S.I. teams use latent fingerprints to solve crimes. Latent fingerprints are made of moistures and oils. C.S.I. teams use black powder to pick up the fingerprints and solve the crime. Today we learned how to find latent fingerprints off a glass surface (glass cup) and we found and picked up the fingerprints. Latent fingerprints help C.S.I. agents to solve the crime and find witnesses and suspects. Done by Caden Black, Zuhair Khan, and Kaitlyn Adams Watch the video and look at our pictures below to see how to lift latent fingerprints.
I enjoyed doing this because I like doing projects that you make and not write it on paper because I am very artistic. (Kaitlyn) We learned that we are strongest in Bodily/Kinsethetic intelligence and that people who have this intelligence can learn through movement. (Maddie, Zuhair, Caden, and Max) Our dominant intelligence is musical and we did a puppet show to tell about dominant intelligence. (Eric and Ben) Today I learnd about the multiple intelligences. I did a presentation about the Naturalistic Intelligence. Next time I would like to not speed through it and to read with expression. I would like to know who came up with multiple intelligences and how do you express yoruself through one those intelligences. ~~ Ashlynn Tapley |
