The prints on a shoe is for crime solvers and detectives to find a burglar or a thief easier. Also the print on the shoe help us compare and contrast the shoe. Footprints help find the the person responsible for the crime. You need to look at the size and accidental characteristics.

We found 4 nuts, not knowing what the were. Then Mrs.Sanchez called her brother, and he told us they were black walnuts. He knows this because he is a park ranger. Don't touch the black walnuts without gloves, they will stain your hands. He told us Indians used them to draw. He also taught us that you can refrigerate them in in the winter (without the shell and covered in a little dirt in a zip lock bag) and plant them in the spring. -Kaydence >.< @->--<--- -Summer <3 We sent him these three pictures as our clues: the shells, without the shells, and the tree.
First we rubbed our fingers on our nose because the nose has the most oil. Then we pressed our fingers on the glass. Next we got the black powder and rubbed the brush into the glass cup to develop the fingerprints. We got tape and pressed it on the fingerprints so the fingerprints will form. Miku From this study I know now that scientists use black powder to develop fingerprints (some) to solve crime but not all fingerprints help solve crime. Rachel My favorite part was developing latent fingerprints cause I thought it was awesome to see fingerprints with black powder. It felt like i was in a real science lab. In GT we are learning about c.s.i.We made and looked at our fingerprints. There are 8 types of fingerprints.Plain whorl, accidental whorl, central pocket whorl, ulnar loop, radial loop, tented arch, plain arch and the rare one, double loop whorl.-Summer T We,re studding the types of of fingerprints. Such as; Tented Arch, Plain Arch, Ulnar loop, and so on. Another thing we are learning is lip prints. Mine are long vertical lines. But others are different ones. Fingerprints are a little different from lip prints. But all fingerprints are different, yet can be sorted.
We have been working on fingerprints, DNA , CSI, and AFIS which stands for Automated Fingerprint Identification System. We also printed our fingerprints and lip prints. We printed fingerprints with pencil and tape.I also learned about Gilbert Thompson. We had so fun.
-Miku We have been working on fingerprinting and have been training to be CSI agents. We have are own A.F.I.S. An A.F.I.S. is a program that has over 3 million finger prints in it. We have done fingerprinting projects. We are studding historical finger printers and learning different fingerprint types like the radial loop plain loop ect.
