We mystery skyped with Ranger Mike in Yellowstone National Park. A mystery skype is where you find information and try to find out where the other person is located. - Megan and Arieanna
Some of the cool things we learned are: - Yellowstone is in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. (Nathan) - Yellowstone was the first national park. (Megan) - I learned that Old Faithful shoots out at 160 degrees ferenheight. (Channing) - Not all grey wolves are grey. (Kamo) - Yellowstone has all sorts of cool animals like bears and wolves. (Josh) - The animals are not afraid of wildfires because they are used to them. (Summer) - The rangers cannot work outside if it is negative 20 degrees. (Sara) - The park is over 700,000 acres large. (Brixton) - Yellowstone has an average of three earthquakes each day. (Nicholas) Yellowstone National Park is located on top of a super volcano. In 1870 an exhibition was sent out to see if the tall tales about Yellowstone were true. In 1872 congress and President Grant decided to protect Yellowstone by making it the first national park. They protected it because of its wildlife, geysers, and hot springs. That is why Yellowstone is an important AMERICAN LANDMARK. - The Whole Class :)
