Our class made a movie about a kid having a bad day at school. I was student 1. My favorite part was when Jake went to lunch. My least favorite part was when Jake went to homeroom. One of the things I learned was about the green screen the second thing I learned was about editing the third thing was ways you can film. Something I could do better next time is to speak up. Cole Our class made a movie about a kid having a bad first day at school. My role was to slam the door in Weston's {Jake} face and I was the director and we were all the editors. My favorite part was when Weston squirted ketchup on his shirt.MY least favorite part was when we walked in to school.I learned that it takes hard work, lots of planning, and you have to focus on what you are doing, and most importantly I learned that it takes trust.I could do better at being more quite when the cameras rolling.I know next time we need to be more careful about what were saying and when we say it and know when to laugh and when not to laugh.Next time we need to be careful and try not to shake the camera.I should watch to see if I mess up so I can fix that mistake. Ryan We made a movie called "Jake's New School!" It's about a kid who has a bad day at school and had to move. My role was the teacher. I introduced him to the class, but pronounced his name, "Jack". My favorite part was when "Jake" shook the SPRITE bottle and it exploded everywhere. My least favorite part was when I had to speak in front of the whole class. It was embarrassing! I learned that you should put lots of details in your video. The second thing I learned was that you need to be prepared. The last thing I learned is to have fun. I think I did everything right, but next time, I want a better role. Emma My class made a movie about a kid going to a new school. I was one of the kids at school and I helped edit. My favorite part was when the new kid, Jake, got sprite all over him. My least favorite part was probably when Jake faints at the end. I learned that it takes a lot more than one person to make a movie,, there are different types of shots, and that making a movie is a lot harder than you think. I think I could do better at saying my lines next time. Kate Our class made a movie about a kid who had a bad school day. I was an actor in the movie. My favorite part was ahving a field trip at the Center for Creative Media (CCM Studios). My least favorite part was NONE of it! Three things I learned was that people use green screens for movies, people use special effects, and people make fake costumes. Next time, I'll make everything a little bit better. TreSean My class made a movie about a kid who has a bad at school. I was the mom in the movie. I was also a kid in the class during the movie. My favorite part was when the kid shook the bottle that said do not shake and shook it anyways. Then he opened it and got all wet. My least favorite part was when the kid came to eat breakfast and found out that it wasn't a dream. I learned that you have to take several videos and pick the best one. I also learned that there are more than one light shining to help you see. Something else I learned was that one person can be more than one person in a movie. I think I could have done better if I wasn't popping my knuckles in every clip I was in! Elizabeth Our class did a movie called Jake's new school. There are a total of nine scenes. My role was "partner". My favorite part was when Weston (Jake) slipped on the oranges. My least favorite part was science class. I learned that movies have green screens and that it takes a lot of scenes and different shots to make a movie. Next time, I can try not to mess up in science. Isabelle

We were able to go on a field trip to the Center for Creative Media in Tyler, Texas. While we were learning about how to make a movie, we made a music video to "Roar" by Katy Perry. We had a lot of fun shooting and editing the video. Please enjoy! Some of the things we learned while we were there are:
