There are over 3,000 islands in Greece and only 227 of them are inhabited. The main cities are Athens, Delphi, Corinth, Sparta, Olympia and Knossus. The main islands are Rhodes, Crete, Corfu, Zante, Chios and Lesbros. The mountains are named Mt. Olympus and Mt. Parnassus. Greece is a peninsula.

What we have learned...
We have learned about the Trojan horse and how it was used in the Trojan War. We also learned the the Greek Alphabet. We learned about Europe on the map and where Greece was in Europe. We learned some of the islands on the map. We learned how to write in Greek and some pottery from Greece. We learned the Greek alphabet symbols. - Bo, Christie, and Curtis . Teams raced against each other to uncover artifacts and draw conclusions as to what our new unit is after being dropped off by an airplane at an unknown dig site.
