Today we read the book, "Rosie Revere, Engineer" and learned that engineers are people who design things to solve a problem. We became like Rosie in our book and took apart old "designed objects" to look at its pieces. We learned that each piece is called a structure and that each of the structures have their own function (or job/purpose). We also started creating own designed objects out of the old pieces and parts! Here are some pictures of us working as engineers today!
Mr. Harms, Colson's dad, is a production engineer in the oil and gas industry. He helps figure out, or design ways to get the oil out of the ground. Some things we learned from Mr. Harms are: They used to use fire to get oil out of the ground. (Colson)
