For the past two weeks we have been learning about the Ancient Olympic Games. We learned that they started in 776 BC in Olympia, Greece. The games were in honor of Zeus, the king of the gods. The Olympics were a five day celebration. We also learned that there was an emperor named Theodosius I who didn't like the games so he got rid of them to spread Christianity around the world. With a partner, we researched the five days. Learn more by looking at our posters below!
