Last week we learned how to use a green screen. Mr. and Mrs. LaPoint got a lime green sheet and hung it up with lights and a camera. They taught us how to use the green screen. First you stand in front of the green screen and make your video. Then you go to a program to make your movie. You must tell the program it is a green screen movie. Then you crop the edges of your movie. You can add different backgrounds and sounds. We also learned: - If you have a green shirt, the background will be on the shirt. (Gautam) - Green is the farthest color away from human skin. (Ethan) - They use the green screen when they film the news sometimes. (Carter) - To crop means to cut out the parts that you don't want. (Vanessa) - You have to have a lot of lights in the room for it to work. (Ethan) - You have to make sure you film on the green screen, not in the room. (Cami) - When filming, you have to keep your body within the green area. (Ethan) Please watch our green screen videos below. We had very, very fun time making them!! We hope you like them!! Our first green screens... just for fun!!
