Today we did two labs. The first lab was on comparing shoes to shoe prints that could be left at crime scenes. We discussed how shoe prints can help police find a suspect. Quotes: - "Do you know how I know this is shoe 4? I see the zig zags!" -- Abby - "The patterns match so this shoe number 2." -- Gracee -"The shoe is actually 23 centimeters." -- Kacy The second lab we did today was on lip prints. Lip prints can be left on glasses and cans at the crime scenes. Lip prints are a lot like fingerprints because no two people have the same proints. Today we examined and classified each person's lip prints. Quotes: -"A lot of people have long vertical lines." -- J.J. -"Can you have two differnt types of prints on your lips?" -- Ryder -"Cheiloscopy is the study of lip prints which can be used for identification much like finger prints." -- Thomas |
