Today we did an chromatography experiment. We looked at the pens of 5 suspects to see who wrote a note. We were able to tell who wrote the note because the colors from the suspect A pen matched the colors of the note.

We have been researching the types of pyramids in Egypt. After we researched them, we created posters and songs about them. You can check them out at our upcoming open house!
Third graders went on a field trip to the American Freedom Museum in Bullard, Texas. Here are some things they learned and saw:
Students were challenged to break out of the box in order to discover our first topic for the year! Were they able to make it? Students were allowed to chose their own topic of interest to research and become our "Resident Expert" on. They then created a display to go along with their presentation on their topic for their family members and peers. We appreciate each person who was able to make it out to hear their presentations! Today the third graders went on a field trip to the Center for Earth and Space Science Education to learn about the planets in our solar system. We also got to experiment with how athletes train for different sports. It was a great day! |
