Students were challenged to "break out of the box" in order to discover the topic for our first unit! Were they able to do it? Student chose a topic of interest to become our "Resident Expert" on, and then they presented their projects to their classes and parents. Below you can find three interesting facts they shared with us! WWIIVietnam WarErin HunterDuff GoldmanPoison Dart FrogsIguanasHow Weapons Have Changed Over TimeGeorge S. Patton Jr.Anna: I have learned that the Vietnam War was not what I thought it would be. I did not now that we got in this war just to help South Vietnam we lost so many soldiers for a country that was not even ours. My grandfather was in that war and I am very happy to call him my grandfather. He didn't die and that makes me proud. I love him so very much. This war is just like history in my family. Thank you for hearing about what I have learned.
Genevieve: I have learned all about Duff Goldman in this unit. He is a famous baker and absolutely LOVES to bake. Just like me actually! He says you can find your inner creativity through the art of baking, and I believe him. And this is not all about him. A good thing to do is to maybe sit down, relax, research, and find out many great things about this man. Go ahead! |
